NWNC Quarterly Networking Luncheon

NWNC June 2026 Networking Luncheon

Program Focus: Building Healthy, Accessible, and Culturally Specific Child Care Systems

June 17, 2026
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Barbie’s Village

Over the past two years, the Northwest Native Chamber has been at the forefront of strengthening Native-centered child care systems by developing Tribal-focused funding resources and providing extensive technical assistance, helping Tribal Nations and Native organizations access critical investments through the Child Care Infrastructure Fund (CCIF). Join us as we spotlight the partnerships, innovation, and opportunities shaping the future of child care in Native communities.

NWNC’s June luncheon will focus on these efforts and will feature a panel discussion with Chenoa Landry (Puyallup) of Future Generations Collaborative, Dana Castano (Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa) representing Department of Early Learning and Care, and Valeria Atanacio (Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde) owner of Native Mama Scholars. Together, they will discuss early learning pathways, public funding opportunities, and approaches for expanding child care that strengthens Native families and communities.NWNC’s Tribal Technical Assistance Specialist, MyKel Johnson (Nez Perce), will highlight ongoing work supporting Tribes, Native-led organizations, and community partners in expanding child care infrastructure resources and access.

Attendees will also hear from State Accident Insurance Fund Corporation (SAIF), a not-for-profit workers’ compensation insurance organization, about workplace benefits. We encourage attendees to learn more about SAIF opportunities and the benefits available to NWNC members.

The June luncheon will also include dedicated time for networking and connection among attendees.

On-site childcare will be available for guests!

Please note: Due to renovations, accessible bathroom accommodations are limited.
